  Santa Eulàlia Festival

  The Santa Eulàlia Festival, the winter festival of Barcelona, is for all the family. During these magical days, tribute is paid to the brave Laia, the girl who rebelled to defend her aims. For the city of Barcelona, this girl was a symbol of solidarity, in defence of justice and commitment to young people. Santa Eulàlia and la Mare de Déu de la Mercè are co-patron saints of Barcelona. To celebrate this festival, different activities are organized for all the family. You can't miss the giants, the processions or the firework street run, human towers, sardanas dancing and musical bands throughout different routes of the city, apart from other activities for both young and old.
  On 12th February, the Santa Eulàlia feast day, several events are held, such as raising the Penó de Santa Eulàlia (reproduction of an old banner of the city) on the balcony of City Hall, sardanas dancing, giants...

  Zoom Festival

  TV fans and professionals involved in the television industry have a diary date: the ZOOM festival. Taking place from 21st to 23rd November, the International TV Fiction Festival will feature the best productions in this genre.br>Apart from screenings there will be discussions, premieres, program presentations, awards, invited guests and professionals from the world of the small screen. This year, as a novelty, several technological platforms and a new category of video games have been added to the official section of the festival.

  29th Science Week

  The Science Week is dedicated to the dissemination of science throughout Catalonia. Several spaces in the city and the region host a unique program including guided visits, exhibitions, workshops, and lectures. This year's edition will focus on the life and work of Oriol de Bolòs and Bette Nesmith Graham, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his birth; and the figures of William Thomson, Jean Valentine, Edwin Hubble, and many more.

  DrapArt Festival

  In the midst of an impassioned debate on sustainability and unchecked consumerism, one of the causes of unprecedented climate change, DrapArt is an attempt to make us view recycling not merely as a critical tool but also from a positive angle linked to art.
  
  Created to focus on art that uses recycled materials and objects, this festival continues to strike a chord promoting emerging artists, designers, craftspeople and other creatives from around the world who reuse and recycle their raw materials.

  The former factories of Can Ricart and Can Felipa

  The industrial architecture in Poblenou has been put to new uses adapted to the needs of today. Many of the old factories that people can find in Barcelona have been remodelled in order to house new activities. This is the case of Can Felipa and Can Ricart.

• La Farinera del Clot

  The former Farinera del Clot stands on one side of the Plaça de les Glòries, and its new facilities have been open since 1995. Long gone is the industrial past of an aesthetically elegant building which combines the characteristic elements of the original mill with contemporary structures.

  Sants Festival how to become one of the locals

  In summer, in June and September, Barcelona's former villages host their neighbourhood festivals. The Sants Festival keeps alive the spirit of a major festival that used to be held in honour of Saint Bartholomew, the patron saint of the former village of Sants.
