  D'A Film Festival

  In its 15th edition, the Barcelona's D'A Film Festival has become in an essential springtime event for the fans of contemporary indie and auteur cinema, both local and from around the globe. Some of the films shown have already won awards at other festivals while many are getting their Spanish premiere. With close to 100 films being presented, one of the highlights of D'A is always the attendance of many of the directors whose works are being shown for round tables and Q&A sessions about their productions.

  Loop Fair Festival

  Created in 2003, Loop is a platform that focuses on the possibilities and challenges presented by video art, one of the key artistic movements of modern times. Each year, Loop hosts professionals and the public for a gathering where they can explore the latest technological and other developments in the moving image sector and see the work of new and established creatives who use video as their main tool.
  
  Loop Festival runs for around 10 days and includes screenings, exhibitions, concerts, talks and other live events at numerous venues around the city.

  The latest edition of the BCN Sports Film Festival opens on 17th February. The 15th edition of the festival, which this year will take place in different venues throughout the city, will be screening the best contemporary sports films.

  L'Alternativa the Independent Film Festival of Barcelona

  The independent film festival, "L'Alternativa" is now celebrating its 31st edition. All these editions have been characterized for defending creative independence of the author, diversity, innovation, freedom, commitment and reflection. The Festival includes projections and also complementary activities, such as debates with authors, round tables, symposiums, creative workshops for all the family and activities by Film Schools.

  Most International Wine and Cava Film Festival

  The new edition of the Most Festival has come round, an international festival to celebrate the best audio-visual production related to the world of wine and cava. Films will also be shown by leading directors that have not been released commercially. Held in the Penedès, one of Catalonia's major wine-producing regions, the aim of the Most Festival is to spread the word about wine-related art and culture expressed through audiovisual creation, and approach wine production from every conceivable angle.

  Zoom Festival

  TV fans and professionals involved in the television industry have a diary date: the ZOOM festival. Taking place from 21st to 23rd November, the International TV Fiction Festival will feature the best productions in this genre.br>Apart from screenings there will be discussions, premieres, program presentations, awards, invited guests and professionals from the world of the small screen. This year, as a novelty, several technological platforms and a new category of video games have been added to the official section of the festival.

  Festival de Cinema de Muntanya de Torelló

  The Torelló Mountain Film Festival has been running for more than 40 years. This is one of the most important festivals of its kind in the world and every year it shows the top films on activities related to the mountain and nature. Ten days of documentaries and films covering diverse genres: expeditions, nature reports, adventure sports, environmental issues... The festival also boasts exhibitions, a publisher area and other activities related to the mountaineering world.

  Barcelona Cultural District

  10 districts, 34 venues, five disciplines. The Barcelona Cultural District is a circuit of professional performances but also a program of artistic community project creation. Culture is brought to your doorstep but citizens themselves can also become active cultural agents. Music, theater, dance, circus and audiovisual displays by a wide variety of artists (professionals and amateurs alike) invade city spaces. Other free of charge activities also take place at the same time, such as workshops and talks.

  Barcelona International Film Festival Sant Jordi BCN Film Festival 2024

  History and literature are the leading players of this movie festival. The International Film Festival Barcelona - Sant Jordi, or the BCN Film Fest 2025, presents a selection of international movies, which are adaptations of literary works or productions, with a historical theme or biographies of famous people. The festival coincides with Sant Jordi, a popular, cultural festival. Maintaining this link, the International Film Festival Barcelona - Sant Jordi, is open to the public interested in movies and culture. The BCN Film Festival is also educational, hence part of programming is addressed to schools to offer the teaching community a new educational resource.

  Festival Pantalla Barcelona

  Pantalla Barcelona Festival comes back from 17 October to 29 March on it's thirteenth edition. 23 civic centers in Barcelona will be screening films made, shot or produced in Barcelona, including also a wide variety of international films. As usual, this year's edition will feature a programme of complementary activities and workshops with film professionals and, as a new feature this autumn, the Pantalla circuit will be joined by the Petit Cineclub, a space dedicated to the screening of animated films for the youngest members of the family.
